David E. Shields, PE, has joined Pathfinder as a Senior Electrical Engineer. His duties include power quality, electrical system analysis, reliability issues, facility engineering troubleshooting, system protection engineering, energy audits and power factor correction analysis.

Prior to joining Pathfinder, he was the lead engineer for power quality at Rochester Gas and Electric. Dave has taught electrical utility engineering at the University of Rochester, protective relaying at the New York Power Pool, and has presented courses for the Electrical Association of Rochester.

Dave is a licensed Professional Engineer in New York State and is a member of IEEE. He has a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
